MARGAUX & CANTENAC

This is Margaux

This region located in the Médoc area of Bordeaux, is defined by its diverse landscapes and climatic conditions, which greatly influence the wines produced there.

Margaux with its gentle slopes and gravelly soils, benefits from a temperate maritime climate, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, resulting in wines known for their aromatic complexity and smooth, elegant tannins. The soil composition of gravel and sand gives these wines a fresh, vibrant character, while the proximity to the Gironde River adds a touch of minerality.

MARGAUX & CANTENAC

Great estates, great wines

Cantenac, a smaller area within Margaux appellation, is slightly less exposed to the rivers influence, leading to wines with more intensity and structure. The combination of clay and gravel in Cantenac´s soils produces a more concentrated fruit profile, giving the wines  fuller body and deeper earthy notes. While Margaux wines are typically more refined and floral, Cantenac wines often show more power and a robust, structured mouthfeel.

Both regions are known for producing wines with great aging potential, but they offer distinct expressions of Bordeaux´s left bank terroir.
